The Jake English Cooking Game

DISCLAIMER: I tried to optimize this game as much as possible, so it could run on chromebooks. However, it isn't perfect, so expect to see some lag if you're using the browser version.

A cooking game with a dynamic flavour-based points-system, complete with procedurally-generated recipes.

This was a solo project with hundreds of hours of effort put into it.

The pixel-art is stylized for a 128x128 display using an indexed palette, inspired by the modern generation of Tamagotchis. 

New features incoming!

Although the current release version is still in beta, the developer's version has features where your virtual pet can evolve and adapt to the foods you feed it. Eventually, the goal is to completely polish and implement the latest features to completely flesh out the game.

Your name is JAKE ENGLISH, and you sure have fucked up big time. You found yourself in a real confounder of a conundrum when you were thrown head-first into another universe over. That is, until you realized that what would normally be Hell Murder Island...has been stripped dry of everything its had. No bloodthirsty monsters, no venomous plants, nothing that wants your scalp for a snack, no nothing! This would usually be a huge relief to you, knowing that you've spent your entire life living in fear of them, but seeing your would-be-home in such a sorry state puts a real wrench in your wing. And apparently this is your fault (well, technically the fault of your alternate-universe-self, but that's a topic for another time), so you're the one who's ought to do something about it!
